How often are the content and data on the website updated?
The content and data are updated in as timely a manner as possible. Most of the data included on this website is generated on a scheduled basis. For example, the Daily List is updated during the day. The ETF Data page is updated once a day, reflecting the previous trading day's information. The share volume reports are updated monthly and will generally be available two to three weeks after the end of the month.

How do I read the download files?
Download files are provided in several different formats: pipe-delimited ( | )
and fixed-width ASCII text (.txt), comma-separated value (.csv)
text, spreadsheets (.xls), and compressed files (.zip). Files
with the .xls and .zip extensions require applications that
can read these files, such as Microsoft Excel for .xls and
WinZip for .zip. For downloading text files, see the next

How do I download the text files?

In Netscape:

If no .rtf files are associated with a word processing application, follow the instructions in the dialog boxes, and select either "Open It" or "'Save It to Disk".

Amex members and market data vendors can be notified by e-mail when certain information is posted to the website. The e-mail will contain a hyperlink (or the url) to the information on the site. The e-mail push service is available for the following information:

Many Internet browsers allow users to establish FTP sessions and most operating systems (Windows 2000, etc.) have built-in applications. Following are standard instructions for each.
Using a Web Browser:
