Member Firm Readiness FAQs

Who do we contact for questions?
Janette Lachica at 212-306-1377 or email janette.lachica@amex.com
Hyla Clark at 212-306-2314 or email hyla.clark@amex.com

What kind of Amex file(s) are you currently sending us?
Please contact us and we can research the information.

Where can I get more information about the AEMI product?
Please refer to the Auction & Electronic Market Integration (AEMI) link at amextrader.com for a summary of AEMI features.

Is there a mapping document available?
No. There are file structure changes that are a direct effect of major function changes in the new AEMI platform. New AMOL will contain additional data. There is no 1-to-1 mapping from legacy format to new as a result of the functional changes.

What data should I expect to receive in AMOL during AEMI launch?
Newly structured files will contain information for the pilot Equity symbols that have migrated onto the new AEMI platform.

Equity products that remain on existing Amex legacy system will continue to be reported via legacy MOL and AOF related files until these migrate to AEMI. Options are not in scope at this time and will continue in legacy format.

How do I obtain members for information (documents, sample files, past notifications, FAQ's)?
The AEMI Merged Order Log and Trade Amendment MRO documents are in the Amex Member Firm Readiness Secure Website along with other supporting documents, test data and addendum.

When (and where) will test data be available?
A small sample of generic test data related to specific test cases is in Member Firm Readiness Secure Website. Test files are also being generated daily where data exists and each Clearing Firm should access via agreed upon transmission protocols. Clearing Firms with no data will generate empty files for that particular trade date.

How are AEMI file transfers going to work moving forward?
Each firm should receive files from each respective Clearing Firms. Files will be sourced directly from the Amex and delivered via agreed upon transmission protocols to the Clearng Firms. Clearing Firms with no data will generate empty files for that particular trade date.

Please contact us if you are unaware of how you are receiving your files or if you have questions regarding report distribution.

When is the first day that production data is expected on this new file?
Until further notification, the target date for member firms to accept and integrate this enhanced post trade file is November 06, 2006.
