Expiration of Processing of January Contracts

The expiration of January contracts is Saturday, January 19, 2002. Please note that all Equity Trading of January options will end on Friday, January 18, 2002, at 4:02 p.m. and broad-based index Options Trade until 4:15 p.m. New York Time.

Saturday, January 19, 2002 will be the last opportunity Members and Member Organizations will have to resolve unmatched trades in expiring options. The resolution of unmatched January Options will begin at 7:15 a.m. at the Exchange on the 3rd Floor, 22 Thames Street. NOTE: ALL EXPIRING ROTN'S MUST BE OK'D OR DK'D BY 8:15 A.M. ON SATURDAY, January 19, 2002.

All members or their designated representatives are required to remain in the DK room until the (second pass) has been processed to insure that trades are resolved through IDC. NOTE: All other personnel that are not responsible for input into IDC are required to be represented until 8:30 a.m. If an extension is granted by a Floor Official, the Exchange will make an announcement.

7:15 a.m.	Attendance is mandatory at this time by a representative from each clearing member, specialist, and floor trader who has the authority to make decisions on unmatched trades.
7:15 a.m.	Member Organizations are to correct only January contracts. Trade corrections on unmatched trades in other expiration months are to be made on Tuesday, January 22, 2002.
7:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.	Deadline for Member Firms to input corrections into IDC via IDC Terminals. NOTE: You must have a signed ROTN before you make any corrections into IDC.
9:30 a.m.	Deadline for Member Firms to input Option Correction via Data-Trak.
9:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.	(First Pass) will be run through IDC Terminals. IDC will be in browse mode only as this time.
9:45 a.m. - 10:20 a.m.	(Second Pass) IDC will be brought back-up on-line for Member Firms to make additional corrections into IDC only. This will be the last opportunity Member Firms will have to correct Option Trades before the AMEX transmits to OCC. (There will be no printing of Option Contract Sheets or Data-Trak Transmission after 10:20 a.m.)
10:45 a.m.	Transmission to OCC.
