Amex began publishing Aerospace and Defense BRIDGES Basket Value Index (Ticker Symbol: DFW) today, Friday, October 11, 2002. The index will be published daily every 15 seconds between approximately 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
The Aerospace and Defense BRIDGES Basket Value Index (DFW) is a modified equal dollar weighted Index representing the value of the basket of common stocks underlying the BRIDGES due October 30, 2009 Based on the Value of Common Stock of Fifteen Aerospace and Defense Companies, which is listed on the Amex under the ticker symbol “DFB”. The component stocks are a selection of companies engaged in a variety of businesses within the aerospace and defense industry. The Aerospace and Defense BRIDGES Basket Value Index was established with a benchmark value of 10.00 at the close of trading on October 10, 2002.
