Effective September 1, 2003 the American Stock Exchange will no longer support CMS SPARS
as a means of reporting specialist (Specialist as Principal and "AWO") system equity and option
transactions to their clearing firm.
Amex specialist clearing firms who currently use CMS SPARS must migrate to the IDC MQ
Outbound Service as a means of capturing all specialist related equity and option transactions.
The IDC MQ Outbound Service currently supports notification of all CMS SPARS equity and
option transactions and will support any future new system related specialist transactions.
