The American Stock Exchange will begin publishing the Reference Index for Strategic Return Notes linked to the CBOE DJIA Buy Write Index (BWRIN) on November 3, 2005 over the Consolidated Tape. The index will be published daily every 15 seconds between approximately 9:30 AM and 4:15 PM.

The Reference Index for Strategic Return Notes linked to the CBOE DJIA Buy Write Index (BWRIN) is based on the CBOE DJIA BuyWrite Index as reduced by an annual adjustment factor of 1.5% applied daily and a Monthly Payment Adjustment Amount. The index relates to the Merrill Lynch 8% Monthly Income Strategic Return Notes Linked to the CBOE DJIA BuyWrite Index Due November 9, 2010 and was established with a benchmark of 100 at close of trading on November 2, 2005, the pricing date for the Notes.
