The American Stock Exchange will begin publishing the Palomar Healthcare Technology Index on November 11, 2005 over the Consolidated Tape. The index will be published daily every 15 seconds between approximately 9:30 AM and 4:15 PM. A brief description, current composition and historical index levels are provided for your databases.
Palomar Healthcare Technology Index (ZHI)
The Palomar Healthcare Technology Index (ZHI) is a modified equal weighted index comprised of publicly traded companies whose business stands to benefit substantially from the growing convergence of healthcare and high technology and capture the aggregate potential of Healthcare Informatics, Medical Instruments and Medical Appliances to the efficient, effective and safe delivery of healthcare to the global population. The Index is rebalanced each March, June, September and December. The Index divisor was initially determined to yield a benchmark value of 1000.00 at the close of trading December 31, 1998. The Index was created by and is a trademark of Palomar Medical Systems Inc.
