In accordance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005, beginning this year, Daylight Savings Time is being extended by one month and will begin at 2:00 a.m., ET, on March 11, 2007 and will revert back to Standard Time on November 4, 2007. This change requires a number of technical enhancements to the various operating systems that the Amex utilizes.
Amex Technology teams have been performing any necessary modifications to internal systems in preparation for the time change. We do not anticipate any issues associated with these changes however, to assist Member Firms with their preparedness and to provide the ability to checkout system functionality, the Amex will make our trading systems available for testing on Sunday March 11th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Testing will be limited to specific symbols and actions that members can perform. Test scripts will be provided to those Member Firms who pre-register for the test. Pre-registration is being coordinated through the Amex Risk Management group.
On registering, please provide the following information:
- Firm name
- Contact person with email address and phone numbers (office and alternate)
- Firm mnemonic
Send your registration information to John Liu at john.liu@amex.com or call 212-306-1819. Registration will close on Tuesday March 6, 2007.
Additional information regarding the test, contact details and the process will be distributed to registered participants.
Should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact John Liu at 212-306-1819 or Paul Beim at 212-306-2736
