The members and employees of the American Stock Exchange welcome
Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney as she rings the opening bell. Congresswoman Maloney represents the 14th district in New York City. Her district contains many of the city's most historic and well-known neighborhoods, including most of the East Side, Astoria and Long Island City, Queens.
Maloney serves as a member of both the House Committee on Government Reform and the House Committee on Financial Services. Furthermore, Maloney was named the ranking House Democrat on the Joint Economic Committee in January of 2005.
