AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE TO TRADE OPTIONS ON THREE SECURITIES

New York, October 25, 2006 -  The American Stock Exchange (Amex) will launch trading in options on Thursday, October 26, 2006 on the following New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market listed stocks of:

  • Diodes Inc. (Option Symbol: DUH/Stock Symbol: DIOD)
  • Spansion Inc. (Option Symbol: SBU/Stock Symbol: SPSN)
  • VeriFone Holdings Inc. (Symbol: PAY)

    Diodes Inc. will open with position limits of 7,500,000 shares. The options will trade on the March expiration cycle. The specialist will be Trinity Derivatives Group, LLC. Diodes Inc. manufactures, sells and distributes discrete semiconductor devices to manufacturers in the automotive, computer and telecommunications industries.

    Spansion Inc. will open with position limits of 25,000,000 shares. The options will trade on the January expiration cycle. The specialist will be LaBranche Structured Products, LLC. Spansion Inc. develops, designs and manufactures Flash memory.

    VeriFone Holdings, Inc. will open with position limits of 7,500,000 shares. The options will trade on the January expiration cycle. The specialist will be Susquehanna Investment Group. VeriFone Holdings, Inc. is a global provider of technology that enables electronic payment transactions and value-added services at the point of sale.
