AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS MERRILL LYNCH’S ACCELERATED RETURN BEAR MARKET NOTES LINKED TO THE RUSSELL 3000 INDEX

New York, August 8, 2008 - The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) opened trading on Merrill Lynch’s Accelerated Return Bear Market Notes Linked to the Russell 3000 Index.

Priced at $10.00 per unit with an initial offer size of 4,260,000 units, this equity trades under the ticker symbol BFN and has a maturity date of October 02, 2009.
 
The notes are issued by Merrill Lynch. The Amex specialist unit is Kellogg Capital Group.
