First High Yield Corporate Bond ETF Launches on the Amex

New York, April 11, 2007 — The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) today announced that it has launched trading in the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond Fund (Ticker: HYG) by Barclays Global Investors (Barclays).

“The Amex is proud to be partnering with Barclays to launch the first high yield corporate bond ETF,” said Scott Ebner, Senior Vice President, Amex ETF Marketplace. “The introduction of HYG provides investors with another diversification tool for their portfolios.”

HYG tracks the performance of the U.S. dollar high yield corporate bond market as defined by the iBoxx $ Liquid High Yield Index. The index is designed to provide a balanced representation of the U.S. dollar-denominated high yield corporate bond market through some of the most liquid high yield corporate bonds available. There are typically 50 issues in the index.

Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing, LP was selected as the specialist for HYG and Susquehanna Investment Group will trade options on HYG.
