AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS MERRILL LYNCH’S STEP INCOME SECURITIES LINKED TO FREEPORT-MCMORAN COPPER & GOLD INC.

New York, July 7, 2008 -The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) opened trading on Merrill Lynch’s STEP Income Securities Linked to Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.

Priced at $10.00 per unit with an initial offer size of 2,020,000 units, this equity trades under the ticker symbol FOA and has a maturity date of July 14, 2009.
