AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS UNITS OF GLOBAL BRANDS ACQUISITION CORP.

New York, December 7, 2007 — The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) today lists the units of Global Brands Acquisition Corp. under the ticker symbol GQN.U. The company issued 25,000,000 units (excluding over-allotment) at $10.00 unit for gross proceeds of $250,000,000. Each unit consists of one share of common stock and one warrant.  Initially, the units will be the only security trading. Citigroup Global Markets is the underwriter for this initial public offering.

Global Brands Acquisition Corp. is a is a newly formed company organized for the purpose of acquiring, through a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, stock acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination, one or more operating business. The Company’s efforts in identifying a prospective target business will not be limited to a particular industry although the Company will focus its efforts on acquiring an operating business in the branded consumer industry.
