New York,  April 4, 2008 - The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) opened trading on Barclays Bank PLC’s Barclays GEMS Index ETN.

Priced at $50.00 per unit with an initial offer size of 1,488,075 units, this equity trades under the ticker symbol JEM and has a maturity date of February 04, 2038.
