AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS MERRILL LYNCH’S STEP INCOME SECURITIES LINKED TO MONSANTO COMPANY

New York, August 8, 2008 - The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) opened trading on Merrill Lynch’s STEP Income Securities Linked to Monsanto Company.

Priced at $10.00 per unit with an initial offer size of 2,000,000 units, this equity trades under the ticker symbol MZJ and has a maturity date of August 17, 2009.
