AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS SIX NEW FUNDS BY SPA ETFs | ||
New York, October 17, 2007 – The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) today announced that it has launched trading in six new exchange traded funds (ETFs) by SPA ETFs Inc. (SPA ETFs). These new products represent the issuer’s first foray into the U.S. ETF marketplace, building on their family of funds already available in Europe. “The American Stock Exchange is pleased to have been selected to list SPA ETFs’ first funds available to investors in the U.S. marketplace,” said Scott Ebner, Senior Vice President, Amex ETF Marketplace. “As the leader in the ETF industry, the Amex remains committed to supporting ETF issuers who are providing the investing community with innovative tools to use in constructing their portfolios.” SPA ETFs track the performance of six proprietary indexes based on a system developed by MarketGrader.com Corporation. The MarketGrader system uses 24 quantitative filters within four main areas (growth, value, profitability and cash flow) to carry out a fundamental evaluation of more than 5,700 U.S. listed stocks. The new ETFs are: SPA MarketGrader 40 Fund (Amex: SFV) seeks to track the MarketGrader 40 Index which is an equal weighted index composed of 40 U.S. traded stocks selected based on the proprietary MarketGrader system and rebalanced every quarter. SPA MarketGrader 100 Fund (Amex: SIH) seeks to track the MarketGrader 100 Index which is an equal weighted index composed of 100 U.S. traded stocks selected based on the proprietary MarketGrader system and rebalanced semi-annually. SPA MarketGrader 200 Fund (Amex: SNB) seeks to track the MarketGrader 200 Index which is an equal weighted index composed of 200 U.S. traded stocks selected based on the proprietary MarketGrader system and rebalanced semi-annually. SPA MarketGrader Large Cap 100 Fund (Amex: SZG) seeks to track the MarketGrader Large Cap 100 Index which is an equal weighted index composed of 100 U.S. traded stocks selected based on the proprietary MarketGrader system and rebalanced semi-annually. SPA MarketGrader Mid Cap 100 Fund (Amex: SVD) seeks to track the MarketGrader Mid Cap 100 Index which is an equal weighted index composed of 100 U.S. traded stocks selected based on the proprietary MarketGrader system and rebalanced semi-annually. SPA MarketGrader Small Cap 100 Fund (Amex: SSK) seeks to track the MarketGrader Small Cap 100 Index which is an equal weighted index composed of 100 U.S. traded stocks selected based on the proprietary MarketGrader system and rebalanced semi-annually.
