BOSTON — September 12, 2008 — State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), and largest institutional fund manager in the world¹, today announced it will transfer 75 SPDR® exchange traded funds (ETF) managed by SSgA Funds Management, Inc. to the NYSE Arca listing and trading platform. The move of the SPDR ETFs, which have been listed on the American Stock Exchange (Amex), is contingent upon the merger of Amex and NYSE EuroNext, the holding company for NYSE Arca. Currently, three SPDR ETFs:SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), the first US commodity-based exchange traded security and one of the fastest growing exchange traded products; SPDR DJ EURO STOXX 50 ETF (FEZ); and SPDR DJ STOXX 50 ETF (FEU), are listed on NYSE Arca.
