AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS MERRILL LYNCH’S STARS LINKED TO THE S&P 500 INDEX

New York, August 8, 2008 - The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) opened trading on Merrill Lynch’s STARS Linked to the S&P 500 Index.

Priced at $10.00 per unit with an initial offer size of 11,410,000 units, this equity trades under the ticker symbol SXU and has a maturity date of August 03, 2010.
