AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE LISTS THE COMMON STOCK OF URANIUM ENERGY CORP.

New York,September 28, 2007 — The American Stock Exchange® (Amex®) today lists the common stock of Uranium Energy Corp. under the ticker symbol UEC.

Uranium Energy Corp. is a United States-based junior resource company with the objective of becoming a near-term ISR uranium producer in the United States. The Company controls one of the largest historical uranium exploration and development databases in the U.S. Through the use of these databases, the Company has acquired advanced uranium properties in Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico.
