ADDvantage Technologies Group, Inc. supplies a comprehensive line of electronics and hardware for the cable television (CATV) industry (both franchise and non-franchise, or private cable). The company's products are used to acquire, distribute and protect the range of communications signals carried on fiber optic, coaxial cable and wireless distribution systems. These products are sold to customers providing an array of communications services including television, high-speed data (Internet) and telephony, to single family dwellings, apartments and institutions such as hospitals, prisons, universities, schools, cruise boats and others. Tulsat Corp. (Tulsat), one of the company's subsidiaries, is a Scientific-Atlanta Master Distributor for certain legacy products and distributes most of their other products. Tulsat has been designated an authorized third party Scientific-Atlanta repair center for selected products. Another subsidiary, NCS Industries, Inc., distributes Motorola broadband products. Other subsidiaries distribute Standard, Corning-Gilbert, Blonder-Tongue, RL Drake, Quintech, Videotek and WaveTek products. The company continues to expand its core product lines (headend and distribution), to maintain the ability to provide electronics equipment needed to build smaller cable systems and much of the equipment needed in larger systems for the most efficient operation and highest profitability in high density areas. The company also continues to purchase surplus equipment from cable operators and others that result from an upgrade in their systems or an overstock in their warehouses. Each of the company's locations operates service centers specializing in Motorola, Magnavox, Scientific-Atlanta and Alpha Power Supplies repairs. As of Sept. 30, 2006, the company's sales of new products represented 73% of its revenue and re-manufactured product sales represented 17% of revenues. Repair and other services contributed the remaining 10% of revenues. The company continues to add products and services to maintain and expand its customer base in North America, South America, Europe and the Far East. Its focus has been to develop relationships with the larger multiple cable operators and other companies that purchase similar products.
