Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. is in the business of providing software services and technology solutions to the motion picture industry, and operating Internet data centers (IDCs). The company is actively expanding into new and interrelated business areas relating to the delivery and management of digital cinema content to entertainment venues worldwide. The company's business focus is to create a secure, managed and complete system that consists of software to book, track and perform accounting functions for digital content in theatres, deliver digital content to multiple locations and provide the content management software for in-theatre playback system for the digital cinema marketplace. The company has two reportable segments: Media Services includes digital media managed electronic delivery services and in-theatre management software for use in theatres from Access Digital Media, Inc. (AccessDM), and satellite delivery services from FiberSat Global Services, Inc. This segment also includes Hollywood Software, Inc., which develops and licenses distribution and exhibitor software products and services. Data Center Services includes AccessIT's Internet data centers, including redundant sites in Los Angeles and New York City. This segment also includes managed storage and network and systems management services provided by Core Technology Services, Inc. and AccessIT. During FY 05 (Mar.), the company received 62% of its revenue from the Data Center Services segment and 38% from the Media Services segment. For FY 05, KMC Telecom, an IDC customer, comprised approximately 18.2% of revenues. |
