BlackRock New Jersey Municipal Bond Trust is a closed-end, non-diversified management investment company whose investment objective is to provide current income exempt from regular Federal income tax and New Jersey gross income tax. The trust intends to achieve its objective by investing primarily in municipal bonds that pay interest that is exempt from regular Federal income tax and New Jersey gross income tax. The trust will invest in municipal bonds that, in the opinion of the trust's investment advisor and sub-advisor, are underrated or undervalued. Under normal market conditions, the trust expects to be fully invested in these tax-exempt municipal bonds. The trust will invest at least 80% of its managed assets in municipal bonds that at the time of investment are investment grade quality. Investment grade quality bonds are bonds rated within the four highest grades or bonds that are unrated but judged to be of comparable quality by the trust's investment advisor or sub-advisor. The trust may invest up to 20% of its managed assets in municipal bonds that at the time of investment are rated Ba/BB or B by Moody's, S&P or Fitch or bonds that are unrated but judged to be of comparable quality by the advisor or the sub-advisor. The trust intends to invest primarily in long-term bonds. |
