The American Stock Exchange trades NYSE, Nasdaq, and other market center stocks and ETFs on an unlisted trading privileges (UTP) basis. Firms and institutions are able to take advantage of access to deep, transparent liquidity and potential price improvement. Firms also benefit from the sophisticated auction market structure of the Amex and the automatic execution (auto-ex) environment.
