Marifil Retains Investor Relations Consultant

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Mar 16, 2005 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- Marifil Mines Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:MFM) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a consulting agreement with Clive H. Massey pursuant to which Mr. Massey will provide investor relations and corporate finance services to the Company. The consulting agreement is for a term of two years at a fee of $5,000 per month.  For the past 22 years, Mr. Massey has been extensively involved in public relations and marketing in various sectors of industry including mining, manufacturing, financial services and high tech. Mr. Massey also serves as Director of Corporate Communications for Inc Pacific Resources Inc. and has acted in Public Relations Capacity for Pacific Rim Mining Corp., Lumina Copper Corp. and numerous other public and private companies.  The Company has granted an option to Mr. Massey to purchase up to a total of 250,000 common shares in the capital of the Company.
