| The Semiconductor HOLDRS Index (XSH) is an estimate of the per share value of the securities underlying one share of Semiconductor HOLDRS, which trade on The American Stock Exchange under the symbol SMH. The XSH Index is calculated based on the securities underlying a round lot of Semiconductor HOLDRS, adjusted to reflect the value for one share of SMH. The XSH Index originally included 20 companies that are involved in various aspects of the of the semiconductor business.
